Back in 2001 Acacia Training was founded on the principle that we wanted to deliver training differently.
Our mission is:
“To deliver high quality teaching which develops the skills, knowledge and behaviour of our learners to ensure we provide our employers with employees who deliver high standards in their organisations, whilst stretching and challenging our learners to progress onto higher levels and aspire to be the best they can be”
- High quality teaching and learning
- Good success rates
- Positive destinations/progression for learners
- Good reputation
- Growth and stability
- Strong core ethos
We started out in the care industry determined to provide courses that genuinely meet employer needs, having experienced our own skills shortages as the owner of two care homes that struggled to recruit and retain quality staff.
|Quality Measure||Acacia Training||National Average|
|Learner satisfaction (2011-12)||9.3 / 10||8.8 / 10|
(Percentage of learners who found work, got a better job or improved their prospects)
|Employer satisfaction (2015-16)||98.5%||77.5%|
We work with a host of organisations, from local government, to national funding bodies, to local care associations and third sector organisations, to address the skills needs of employers in the care sector.
Where we can, we pro-actively seek out funding opportunities in order to deliver practical, high value training to carers across the UK. Here are some of the organisations we work with.
- The Education & Skills Funding Agency
- Skills for Care
- Staffordshire County Council
- Stoke-on-Trent City Council
- The Manchester College
- European Social Fund (ESF)
- Investors in People
