Quality recognition for Acacia Training

Staffordshire-based Acacia Training has won national Skills for Care accreditation for the quality of its training.

The company operates from headquarters at Trentham business quarter and works with care homes, nurseries, pre-schools and social care companies throughout the UK.

Skills for Care accreditation was awarded after a rigorous assessment process aimed at ensuring that training delivered in the sector delivers higher standards of care as a result.

Other criteria that must be met include supporting excellence; having good processes in place and delivering courses to the care sector that are relevant and fit for purpose.

Managing Director Victoria Sylvester comments: “We are delighted that Acacia Training has been endorsed by Skills for Care as a high quality training provider for carers on subjects including autism, dementia, dignity, infection control, mental health, safeguarding, medicine, leadership and management and stroke awareness.”

She adds: “This adds to our recent ‘good’ grading from Ofsted and continues to recognise our expertise in the health and social care sector – with this particular accreditation demonstrating our excellence in adult social care.”
